KRSB Future Voices Academy is a Pennsylvania nonprofit corporation organized for educational, charitable, and workforce development purposes. We provide professional media, broadcast journalism, sports broadcasting, audio production, and career-readiness training to underrepresented high school and college students — with a focus on elevating the narrative of HBCU athletics and culture.

A veteran play-by-play announcer and HBCU historian with over two decades of broadcast experience, including 150+ live games, 3 Division II Final Fours, and the 1996 Olympics. Teaching philosophy: 'Don't just call the game. Own the narrative.' We train high school juniors and seniors from Philadelphia public and charter schools to become professional sports broadcasters — on real HBCU game broadcasts, supervised by working professionals.

The media landscape suffers from a critical lack of diverse voices. FVA was established to dismantle the economic and access barriers that keep talented Black students out of professional broadcasting. Talent is distributed equally. Opportunity is not. This program is our correction to that imbalance.
