Philadelphia has talent. What it's been missing is the pipeline. KRSB Future Voices Academy was built to fix that. We train high school juniors and seniors from Philadelphia public and charter schools to become professional sports broadcasters — on real HBCU game broadcasts, supervised by working professionals. Students graduate with a demo reel, a 30-piece portfolio, and a network — not just a certificate.
The Teaching Hospital for Black Media.
Medical students don't become doctors by reading about surgery. They perform it — supervised, on real patients. FVA operates the same way. Students don't study broadcasting. They broadcast. On live KRSB game feeds. On real HBCU football and basketball games. The press box is the operating room. The microphone is the scalpel. The game is the patient.
